Lions take a look at LB Bobby Carpenter
The home for displaced veteran defensive players is giving Bobby Carpenter a look.
According to Tom “Killer” Kowalski of MLive.com, the linebacker had a workout for the team today at its facility in Allen Park, Mich.
Carpenter was released by the Miami Dolphins on Monday. A first-round bust for the Dallas Cowboys, Carpenter followed Tony Sparano and Bill Parcells to Miami. He struggled to make an impact on special teams and was cut loose.
Carpenter was the 18th pick in the 2006 draft from Ohio State. The Lions are seeking upgrades on virtually all levels of the defense. It’s unknown if they will work to sign Carpenter.
