Lions-Falcons to kick off early in London
For those that won't be traveling to London for next season's Falcons-Lions game, be prepared to wake up early if you want to watch it on television — especially if you're on the West Coast.
The NFL announced that the game, which will be played on Oct. 26, 2014, will kick off at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. For NFL fans on the West Coast, you won't be able to sleep in that Sunday if you want to catch this game at the 6:30 a.m. Pacific Time kickoff.
FOX will broadcast the game and could wind up with a large vieweship as a result. After all, it will be the only game going on at that time.
For this one day in 2014, the NFL will have an entire nation watching football for a near 12 hours — with a 9:30 kickoff, a slate of 1 p.m. kickoffs, the late kickoffs after 4 p.m. and the Sunday Night Football game concluding the day's events.
