Longtime Lions reporter Tom Kowalski passes

Longtime Detroit Lions beat reporter Tom Kowalski, a man who connected with fans of the team on many different platforms, has died. Kowalski was 51.

Employed by Booth Newspapers and MLive.com, Kowalski was found dead this morning. He had covered the Lions for 30 years and was very popular, known as “Killer.” He had a devoted following on Twitter and radio and television in Michigan.

Killer pulled no punches on a beat where there was some mighty bad football over the last three decades.

The National Football Post sends its most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Kowalski.
