Looking unlikely Greg Jennings will play Sunday

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings is expected to miss Sunday’s game at Houston as he continues to work his way back from a groin injury suffered in Week 1.

Jennings has appeared in three games but aggravated in injury in Week 4 against New Orleans and is going to proceed with caution, according to Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The Pro Bowl performer has not been ruled out from the game but that is how it is looking.

I've kept things the same, making sure I don't rush it back like I did before," said Jennings, who sat out only one game in Week 2 before returning from the original injury. "I'm trying to make sure we do the things we need to do before we go out there and attacking it physically when it comes to actually running on the field and different things like that so that we won't have a setback."

The greatest concern he has in working his way back to 100 percent is getting open. If his body isn’t right, it’s going to be difficult for him to have space to work for quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

"Creating the separation, I think anyone can create a little separation," Jennings said. "But when you're accustomed to creating a lot of separation or a lot more, it's frustrating when you watch yourself on film and it's like, 'OK, that was OK but it's just not what I'm accustomed to seeing.' That's the frustrating part so that's what we're trying to get back to."

The bye for the Packers does not come until Week 10 on the weekend of Nov. 11. There are three games between the meeting in Houston and that idle weekend. Surely, Jennings would like to return before then.
