Maclin addresses 'crazy reports' regarding his health
Jeremy Maclin won’t say specifically what was wrong with him and all the Philadelphia Eagles will offer up is that he had an illness.
Maybe they can’t say because they’re not exactly sure yet, but the wide receiver has moved to stamp out rumors that it’s anything career threatening.
“Those crazy reports aren't true," Maclin said, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Maclin has been in camp but has not practiced and per the report he looks “noticeably thinner.” Whatever he’s been dealing with has been an issue for some time as Maclin said in April he had lost 15 pounds with “mono-like” symptoms. Later, he appeared to have gained the weight back. Now, he’s not ready to go more than a week into training camp.
Maclin said he will be ready before the start of the season. If he is mending then maybe the only receiver the team has to worry about is DeSean Jackson, the wideout who has yet to show up in a contract holdout.
