Manning checkup coming Wednesday

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning will be checked out on Wednesday to see if the cervical fusion procedure he underwent on his neck in September has healed completely.

Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter reported at halftime of Monday night's game between the New York Giants and New Orleans Saints that Manning would go for his checkup to get an update on his health.

The Colts, who are winless at 0-11, have not placed Manning on injured reserve, even though he missed all of the season, save for a few practices when he was first taken off the PUP list before the season began.
