Manning had stem cell therapy in Europe

Injured Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning had stem cell therapy in Europe, reports Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.

Manning, according to the report, had the stem cell procedure before his most recent surgery that has his 2011 season in jeopardy. Manning has had three neck surgery procedures in the past 19 months.

When he missed the season opener last week in Houston, it marked the first missed start of his career, interrupting a streak of 208 straight regular-season games. Manning has not been placed on injured reserve, as the Colts are holding out some hope that he can return, as the injury was diagnosed as needing 2-3 months recovery time after the surgery.
