Manning, Irsay arrive in Indy together
Peyton Manning and Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay arrived in the city together Tuesday night on a private plane, as they talked and prepared for their breakup.
WISH-TV in Indianapolis had video of the two men getting off the plane, and had a brief quote from Manning saying, "We're going to do this the right way. We'll talk to you guys tomorrow."
That breakup will officially take place at noon ET today as the Colts have announced a press conference with both Manning and Irsay expected to be in attendance.
The release of Manning, rather than paying a $28 million roster bonus, will end a 14-year relationship of consistency and success in the Colts organization that suddenly came to a screeching halt in 2011 when Manning missed the entire season with a neck injury, and Indy fell to 2-14.
