Manning resumes throwing for Colts
Injured Indianapolis Colts quarterbackk Peyton Manning did some throwing on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.
Manning did not practice, and there is still no firm timetable as to if or when he might return, but his beginning to throw is simply the next step in his quest to return from three neck surgeries over 19 months.
"That's what he does," Colts coach Jim Caldwell said. "They have been working with him in that area. That's part of it, but it's nothing revolutionary."
The Colts are 0-13 without Manning this season, and there is no guarantee he will play or even practice this season, amid speculation that he and the Colts might part ways at the end of the season if Indy drafts Andrew Luck.
