Marc Bulger decides to hang 'em up
Early in the offseason, a lot of people ticketed Marc Bulger for the Arizona Cardinals, a team that probably could have used him in 2010.
Then, some suggested that Bulger wasn’t interested in being a starter any longer. As it turns out, he’s not interested in playing. The man who followed Kurt Warner with the St. Louis Rams has followed Warner into retirement a year later.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Bulger has decided he will retire. He was a backup for the Baltimore Ravens last season. Bulger was a two-time Pro Bowl performer and his finest season came in 2006 in St. Louis when he passed for 4,301 yards and 24 touchdowns.
As Schefter points out, Bulger probably could have found an opportunity if he wanted.
