Marcedes Lewis out 6-8 weeks
With Cecil Shorts III missing the first two games with a hamstring injury, tight end Marcedes Lewis has been the veteran presence in the receiving game for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Not anymore. On Monday, coach Gus Bradley told reporters that Lewis sustained a high ankle sprain in Jacksonville's 41-10 loss to Washington.
Lewis will miss between six and eight weeks of action as a result. Lewis had a 63-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Chad Henne during the game.
Next up at the position will be either Clay Harbor or Mickey Shuler. Jacksonville has seen far better days, though even that seems like a long time ago.
