Mardy Gilyard robbed at gunpoint in Cincinnati
St. Louis Rams rookie wide receiver Mardy Gilyard experienced a frightening event Monday night when he was robbed at gunpoint near the University of Cincinnati campus.
WLWT-TV reports that Gilyard and a man he was with were approached by two men, one wielding a gun, around 9:30 p.m. Gilyard lost $90 cash and a chain worth an estimated $500. The individual Gilyard was with, Terry Hobbs, lost $200 and a chain also valued at $500. There were no injuries reported.
Gilyard starred at Cincinnati and was a fourth-round pick of the Rams. Police are investigating the event.
