Mark Ingram expected to miss a month
New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram has been among the best players at his position through two games.
He's run for 143 yards and two touchdowns in New Orleans' backfield through two games. However, he will be sidelined for the next month due to a hand injury sustained against Cleveland, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
That's a huge blow to the Saints, which are a surprising 0-2 to open the season. Ingram was beginning to show glimpses of what made him a Heisman Trophy winner during his career at Alabama.
Expected to receive the bulk of the carries in New Orleans with Ingram sidelined will be Khiry Robinson. Of course, Pierre Thomas will continue to serve as the change-of-pace, receiving option out of the backfield. Travaris Cadet could also get some more playing time with Ingram out.
