Mark Ingram still battling turf toe, could miss playoff run

The New Orleans Saints will likely be without running back Mark Ingram for their season finale against the Carolina Panthers as he’s suffered a setback with the turf toe issue he’s been battling.

Saints coach Sean Payton announced the situation after practice on Thursday, according to Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, and now you have to start wondering about Ingram’s availability for the postseason.

"We just gotta wait 'til it's healthy,” Payton said. “It's real simple.”

Ingram sat out the previous three games and returned to practice on Wednesday on a limited basis. He was only involved in individual drills and that is when he aggravated the injury. Chris Ivory was performed well in recent weeks and per Triplett this makes it unlikely Ingram will return during the playoff run. Stay tuned.
