Marketing agent Mike Ornstein begins prison stretch

Mike Ornstein, who had access at all levels to the New Orleans Saints during their run to a championship in Super Bowl XLIV, began a stint in federal prison Tuesday.

Sports Business Journal reported the marketing agent, who was at the center of much of the Reggie Bush controversy when the Saints running back came out of USC, pleaded guilty in June to scalping Super Bowl tickets for nearly a decade.

Ornstein was sentenced to eight months in prison. A former employee of the Raiders organization, Ornstein has been a mover and shaker in the industry for a long time. He was heavily involved with the Saints during their championship run and was close friends with coach Sean Payton.
