Marshall proves more meek than 'monster' for Dolphins
Brandon Marshall's promise to "play like a monster" in Monday night's game against the New York Jets fell far short of his prediction.
While Marshall did manage six catches for 109 yards, his crucial mistakes loomed large for a Dolphins team that mustered only six points on the night.
Marshall dropped one potential touchdown pass from Matt Moore, and almost inexplicably drifted out of bounds on a 46-yard pass that could have potentially been a TD for the lowly Dolphins, as Israel Gutierrez of the Miami Herald points out.
Instead of being a monster as he promised, it was simply more of the same demons that have plagued the Dolphins in an 0-5 start - one that will soon send Tony Sparano to the unemployment line and could eventually send Andrew Luck to South Beach.
