Mason Foster appealing $20,000 fine for hit on Ochocinco
The NFL came down hard on Mason Foster.
Harder than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers middle linebacker hit New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco. That’s for sure.
Foster was fined $20,000, according to an NFL source, for a shot on Ochocinco last week. He found out today, per a report in the St. Petersburg Times.
“Just got to pay it and keep on going from there," Foster said. "Learn from it."
Ochocinco said last week he would pay the fine if Foster was zapped, but there is no way the NFL would let that fly. Foster believed the play was clean although it appeared he hit Ochocinco above the shoulders.
“We have the right to appeal the fine,” Foster’s agent Steve Caric said. “And we are exercising that right.”
