Matt Light suffers knee injury in loss to Broncos
From the Boston Herald:
DENVER - Left tackle Matt Light suffered a right knee injury, exiting after the first play of the fourth quarter yesterday.
Light, a Pro Bowler and a member of the Patriots 50th Anniversary Team, did not return in the team’s 20-17 overtime loss to the Broncos. Rookie Sebastian Vollmer took his place.
It appeared that center Dan Koppen rolled over Light’s right knee during a 12-yard pass to receiver Wes Welker. He stayed on the field for several moments, as trainers worked on him. Eventually, Light exited the field without putting pressure on his right foot. He later left for the locker room.
Coach Bill Belichick did not have an update on Light’s status following the game.
