McCoy, Vick still sidelined by concussions
Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy and quarterback Michael Vick remain sidelined with concussions, unable to move past Phase 4 of the five-phase system in place for a return.
According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, neither player has passed ImPACT testing required for a return to game action. The players took the tests Friday and results were not immediately known.
So, McCoy will miss his third consecutive game and Vick will be sidelined for his fourth when the Eagles play at Tampa Bay on Sunday. Vick, of course, has been demoted in favor of Nick Foles, so he will be a backup when he is cleared to return.
Per the report, Vick has not had concussion symptoms “for weeks” but he is unable to reach baseline testing. McCoy still shows symptoms after physical exertion and with the Eagles playing next on Thursday against the Cincinnati Bengals, it could be difficult for him to return for that game.
