McNabb joins workouts with ex-Eagles teammates
On Tuesday, we reported here that Donovan McNabb has taken to YouTube predicting a special season ahead for him.
And today in an effort to ensure the season will indeed be special, McNabb joined up with some of his former teammates, working out with the Philadelphia Eagles in a player-run practice.
According to CSN Philly, McNabb was with a half-dozen Eagles working out at Memorial Sports Complex in Marlton, N.J. He is in town to make an appearance at Voorhees Replacement Hospital where he has made a sizeable donation in the six figures.
Before you think McNabb was swapping playbook secrets of the Washington Redskins with the players, it was a lot of agility training, per the report. Plus, McNabb is expected to be an ex-Redskins shortly after the lockout is ended.
“I’m just focused on working out, it’s what I do in the offseason,” McNabb said. “So, working with a great group of guys. (The Power Train) guys did a wonderful job of preparing those guys. So, I was just looking forward to it.”
As for his future, McNabb maintained what has been his offseason stance. He did nothing to stir the pot.
“I’m just working out right now,” he said. “As you can see, I’m in some great shape and I’m only gonna get better.”
