McNabb remains hot for the Redskins

Donovan McNabb remains hot with the Washington Redskins.

Red hot.

His jersey sales for the previous three-month period ending June 30 were No. 2 in the NFL ranking only behind the spectacularly popular No. 2 or No. 3 quarterback in Denver – Tim Tebow.

McNabb’s No. 5 jersey was a hot seller once he was traded to the Redskins, reports Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post, and he was No. 2 in the three-month span that concluded at the end of March. He’s maintained that spot, the first time a Redskins player has truly had hot sales since the death of former safety Sean Taylor.

The Redskins are banking on McNabb turning their fortunes around with new coach Mike Shanahan. It’s a veteran team and Washington is trying to re-tool on the fly in the NFC East, a division some consider to be the strongest in the league.

No word on precisely how cold Albert Haynesworth jerseys are. Could they be headed to a clearance rack near you soon?
