McNeill, Castillo may be on Chargers' chop block

A couple of key veterans could be packing their bags and leaving the San Diego Chargers this off-season, says Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Tackle Marcus McNeill, who may not be able to pass his physical with the team, could be let go to clear $10 million off the Chargers' books.

The other player who may be in jeopardy is defensive end Luis Castillo, who missed most of last season with a broken leg. Castillo is due nearly $5 million in 2012 and the Chargers are expected to either release him or try to renegotiate his current contract.

Acee also says that guard Kris Dielman, who had a concussion and a seizure stemming from it in 2011, may return in 2012 rather than retire. If Dielman is healthy, the Chargers are expected to want to keep him.
