Member of 1960 champion Philadelphia Eagles passes

Gene Gossage, a member of the 1960 NFL champion Philadelphia Eagles, passed away Sunday at age 76, the club announced today.

Gossage, a lineman for the Eagles in the early 1960’s, was drafted in the 28th round from Northwestern in 1958. He was a two-time, All-Big Ten selection in college.

After his playing days ended, Gossage became the vice president of the industrial hardware division of Stanley Industries.
