Miami Dolphins, Ryan Tannehill agree to contract extension through 2020
The Miami Dolphins and quarterback Ryan Tannehill have reached an agreement that will keep the quarterback in Miami through 2020.
NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the deal is set to give Tannehill a 4 year, $77 million dollar extension, with $45 million in guarantees and $25 million fully guaranteed.
The eighth overall pick in the 2012 draft, Tannehill has silenced any doubt that he is the franchise quarterback for the Dolphins. Showing steady improvement since his rookie season, Tannehill finished the 2014 season with a 66.4% completion rate, airing out 4,045 yards and tossing 27 touchdown passes. He also ran the ball 56 times for 311 yards and a touchdown.
