Michael Crabtree says he'll be stylin' in new cleats
Michael Crabtree says to check him out on Sunday because he’ll be stylin’.
The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver has a custom made cleat for his problematic left foot that has twice required surgery, most recently in June. It sounds like the plan is for him to be active Sunday in the season opener against the Seattle Seahawks, and play some role despite the fact that he missed all of training camp and the preseason.
According to Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News, the injury is similar to what Crabtree experienced when he was entering the draft coming out of Texas Tech, but this surgery was a little different.
Now, he’s got a Nike Jordan cleats that have been molded in the shape of his foot.
“They'll be real good for me this year," Crabtree said. "They're pretty sweet, too. You've got to look out for them."
We’ll be looking out for a breakthrough season from Crabtree. That’s what everyone is hoping to see.
