Michael Crabtree working his way back with 49ers
Michael Crabtree is moving closer to a return to the practice field for the San Francisco 49ers.
The wide receiver isn’t talking about his situation until he’s healthy, according to Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle, but Crabtree has lost the walking boot he’d been using since the beginning of camp and he’s getting around without a limp.
Crabtree suffered a left foot injury during player-run offseason workouts. It’s the same foot he had surgery on prior to the 2009 draft.
“He's working very diligently to get back out there, and I think he's really on top of things mentally, which is a credit to him," offensive coordinator Greg Roman said. "Our meetings are very interactive, and he's very much a part of those meetings.”
