Michael Sam makes CFL debut

Michael Sam made his debut for the Montreal Alouettes on Friday night. He played just a bit and didn't make any big plays in a loss to the Ottawa Redblacks. Sam is a former St. Louis Rams seventh-round draft pick. “I love football,” Sam said. “I was nervous when I first got on the field. . . . I didn’t get many opportunities to make any plays. I had some good pass rushes, I thought, but close is not a sack.” Sam is back with the Alouettes after leaving briefly for personal reasons.
