Michael Vick not sure if he can take a hit yet
Michael Vick gets the reins to the Philadelphia Eagles offense again this week.
But the quarterback does not know how he is going to handle the role until he takes his first big hit.
The Eagles are in their bye week and according to Geoff Mosher of the Wilmington (Del.) News Journal, Vick will likely be the quarterback in the team gets back to work next Wednesday for its Nov. 7 game against the Indianapolis Colts. Reid has an 11-0 record coming off of bye weeks that he would like to keep perfect.
Vick has been out since suffering cracked rib cartilage on Oct. 3 in a loss to the Washington Redskins. He’s been back practicing, and the team went 2-1 in his absence with Kevin Kolb in the starting role.
“I don't know if I can take a hit yet, but I can throw the ball strong," Vick said. "I think I have some more time to heal and some more time to just get stronger, so I'll stay in the weight room and continue to do the things that helped me get to this point."
We’ll see how he looks in a little more than a week.
