Michigan officials to make their pitch to Jim Harbaugh
University of Michigan officials are in the Bay Area, poised to make their pitch directly to San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh.
Harbaugh? He had little to say as usual about his future.
"We've plowed that ground very thoroughly," Harbaugh said. "What will happen will happen, what won't happen won't happen."
Thanks for the clarity, coach.
Harbaugh has a six-year, $48 million offer from Michigan where he starred at quarterback.
Harbaugh has also been linked to the Oakland Raiders and the Chicago Bears.
He has at least one more game to coach, though.
"I'm going to enjoy the players, that I really enjoy being around," he said. "I'm going to enjoy the coaches. Going to have a lot of fun coaching this ballgame. And want to win it. Want our team to have the good feeling of winning, feel good about ourselves."
