Mickey Loomis pledges deal will be done for Drew Brees
The New Orleans Saints continue to say they are committed to getting a long-term deal done with quarterback Drew Brees.
The Pro Bowl performer said earlier this week he is frustrated with the process, particularly by what he characterized to be a lack of communication.
“Drew loves the Saints and we love Drew,” general manager Mickey Loomis said today at a team Hall of Fame event, according to WWL-TV.
Loomis pledged the deal would get completed and per the report owner Tom Benson also said the deal would be done. The sides have two months remaining to find some common ground.
