Middle Tennessee State DB Kevin Byard visiting Ravens, Jaguars, Buccaneers, Panthers, Dolphins

Middle Tennessee State defensive back Kevin Byard has had an extremely busy predraft circuit and is regarded as an ascending draft prospect who could go in the third round. His final week of visits is being capped with trips to the Baltimore Ravens followed by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers, according to a league source. He's previously visiting the Arizona Cardinals, followed by the Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans Saints and Cincinnati Bengals. He's also worked out for the Carolina Panthers privately on Tuesday and visited the Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers. Byard had an outstanding Pro Day workout in front of 23 NFL teams,  including one general manager. At 5-11 5/8, 212 pounds, Byard ran the 40-yard dash in 4.46 and 4.51 seconds. He bench pressed 225 pounds 22 times with a 10-foot broad jump, a 38-inch vertical leap, a 4.20 short shuttle, a 6.73 three-cone drill. Byard is projected as a fourth round to fifth round draft target. After this stellar performance, Byard is regarded as an ascending draft prospect.
