Mike Williams signs with CFL's Argonauts

Mike Williams, the former first-round pick of the Detroit Lions in 2005, is on the comeback trail again.

Williams, who bounced from the Lions to the Raiders to the Titans, then out of football and to the Seahawks, has signed with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL.

Williams, 29, was one of the faces of the Lions' ineptitude under Matt Millen's regime, as a high draft pick that didn't pan out. The former Southern Cal star finally found success in 2010 when he reunited with his old USC coach, Pete Carroll, in Seattle and caught 65 passes that year.

However, the following year, injuries plagued Williams and he had just 18 catches, and was released following the 2011 season.
