Mikel Leshoure makes it to court this morning
Two days after he failed to show for an arraignment on a felony charge of marijuana possession, Mikel Leshoure appeared in Berrien County Trial Court with his lawyer this morning.
The Detroit Free Press reports the running back for the Detroit Lions demanded a preliminary examination of the felony charge of second-offense marijuana possessions. A pre-exam conference is scheduled for May 11 and the hearing is set for May 15.
Leshoure was charged with marijuana possession on Feb. 18 following a traffic stop. He pleaded down in that case. He was then cited March 12 for possession in a traffic stop. Police said Leshoure was attempting to eat the marijuana.
We’ll see what direction this heads but as we noted earlier today, Leshoure also ran into trouble with marijuana while in school at Illinois.
