Miles Austin still recovering from hamstring pull
Dallas Cowboys receiver Miles Austin was only targeted four times in his return to the playing field against the Redskins on Sunday night.
He didn't haul any of the passes thrown his way.
Austin missed the previous two games due to a hamstring pull and was evidently not at full speed this past week.
"I don’t think he looked as explosive as he did early on in the year," Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said, via ESPN Dallas. "He’s clearly trying to get his hamstring healthy. He came through the game, looked like he was able to function, everything we asked him to do. But he’s a work in progress coming back.”
The Cowboys should probably let Austin take all the time he needs in getting back to full speed. With how Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley have emerged, they can afford for Austin to rest up for a late-season stretch.
