Minnesota, San Francisco ink seventh-round picks
A pair of seventh-round draft picks have signed contracts.
The Minnesota Vikings reeled in fullback Ryan D’Imperio, the Rutgers product who was the 237th overall pick in the draft. Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers signed cornerback Phillip Adams, the 224th overall pick from South Carolina State.
D’Imperio played linebacker for the Scarlet Knights and will be making the conversion to offense. A captain, he started 24 of his final 25 games in school.
Adams was a first-team All-MEAC pick this past season and he also has return ability.
Both players were the first picks to sign with their respective clubs.
