Missouri State's Arkin shaping up as mid-round possibility

Missouri State’s David Arkin is receiving the kind of buzz that could move the guard from being a late-round selection to someone who could come off the board in the third or fourth round for the right team.

Fourteen clubs were represented at his pro day last month and they were there for what was essentially a one-man show. Two offensive line coaches showed up – Cincinnati’s Paul Alexander and Jacksonville’s Andy Heck – and there has been more interest in Arkin since. He’s got two official visits lined up and two private workouts.

At 6-4, 300 pounds, Arkin has good size. He was first team All-Missouri Valley Conference two consecutive seasons and started 44 games in his career. Arkin participated in the East-West Shrine Game, so teams had an opportunity to evaluate him against players from larger programs there.
