Montee Ball could miss time with injury
The Denver Broncos defeated the Arizona Cardinals in a big way, winning 41-20 in a game that saw Peyton Manning throw for 479 yards and four touchdowns.
But it looks like the Broncos lost their starting running back Montee Ball for some upcoming games. According to the Denver Post, Ball injured his groin against Arizona and could be "out for a while" a result.
If Ball is forced to sit out, the Broncos will likely turn to running back Ronnie Hillman to be first in line. However, other backups Juwan Thompson and C.J. Anderson could see some time in a committee approach.
Losing Ball isn't good news for the Broncos, though it is is of note that he hasn't put up the numbers many thought he would before the season started. Through four games in the first five weeks, Ball has 172 yards and a touchdown, averaging just 3.1 yards per carry.
