Moreno's season over for Broncos with torn ACL
With apologies to U2, week 10 turned into 'Sunday Bloody Sunday" in the NFL with signficant injuries at nearly every turn.
Two quarterbacks - Houston's Matt Schaub and Kansas City's Matt Cassel - were shelved for the season with injuries, as was long-time Jaguars cornerback Rashean Mathis with a torn ACL.
Now, updating an earlier report, news from Denver is that running back Knowshon Moreno's season is over as well with a torn ACL suffered in Sunday's win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Coach John Fox confirmed the news at his afternoon press conference on Monday, and the Broncos moved quickly to fill the roster spot by promoting Jeremiah Johnson from the practice squad, according to the Denver Post. There is a bit of good news, as the Post also reports that Willis McGahee should be OK after suffering a hamstring injury Sunday.
