Mornhinweg a possibility as Colts coach

New Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson said he would evaluate whether to keep Coach Jim Caldwell after a 2-14 season in 2011.

If Caldwell is let go, then the Wilmington News Journal speculates that one-time Detroit Lions head coach and current Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg could be a candidate because of his ties to Grigson with the Eagles.

Mornhinweg was a flop as coach of the Lions, going 5-27, but has since built a reputation as a quarterback guru with the Eagles. Still, given his failure in Detroit, it would be interesting to see what type of reaction Colts fans would have if Mornhinweg were given the job.
