Moss announces comeback attempt
Randy Moss announced on a Ustream chat Sunday night that he is planning to come back to the NFL in 2012.
"Your boy be back for the upcoming season," Moss said on the chat, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Moss split the 2010 season between three teams, starting with the New England Patriots, who traded him to Minnesota. His second go-around with the Vikings didn't last long as the team put him on waivers, where he was claimed by the Tennessee Titans and played the final eight games of the year there.
Moss, who ranks ninth all-time in receptions with 954 receptions, was under utilized and under productive in Tennessee with just six catches for 80 yards in his time there.
Shortly after the lockout, Moss and his agent Joel Segal said he was retiring from the NFL, even though some teams had shown a bit of interest in him. If the comeback attempt is legit, it will be interesting to see if Moss or Terrell Owens gets an opportunity first.
