MRI checks out just fine for Larry Fitzgerald

The Arizona Cardinals can rest easy when it comes to wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.

An MRI performed today confirmed that he doesn’t have a serious knee injury. Fitzgerald told a league source he expected to be OK and then the medical test backed it up.

According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, Fitzgerald said the MRI test was good and he’ll be “conservative” for a few weeks with his knee. Per Somers, that could be code for Fitzgerald will shut it down for the remainder of the preseason. Makes sense to us. If he can’t come back for the third preseason game, there’s no sense at all in playing in the fourth and final one.
