Namath: Jets may be too much drama for Peyton

Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath still isn't afraid to go deep, especially when it comes to criticizing the current version of the his old team, the New York Jets.

Namath told Bloomberg News that the Jets may be filled with too much locker room drama to attract free agent quarterback Peyton Manning, who was released by the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday.

“The Jets have to get things together on their own turf before someone with his background would be interested in coming,” Namath said.

Namath also said the Jets should be rallying around current QB Mark Sanchez, whom he said should still be the Jets long-term answer at the position.
