Nathan Slaughter signing with Cardinals

Former West Texas A&M wide receiver Nathan Slaughter is signing with the Arizona Cardinals, according to his agent. Slaughter is the first player from the NFL veteran combine to sign with an NFL team. Slaughter ran the 40-yard dash in the high 4.3 range. At his Pro Day last year, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.34 seconds with a 44.5-inch vertical leap, an 11-6 broad jump and bench pressed 225 pounds 16 times. The 5-foot-9, 184-pounder caught 50 passes for 516 yards and three touchdowns as a senior He had three touchdowns on 36 kickoff returns, averaging 36.1 yards per return.
