'Natural leader' Luck goes through first work with Colts

New Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano, not surprisingly, had high praise for rookie No. 1 pick Andrew Luck after he went through his first mini-camp work with the team.

"He's unflappable. He's a natural leader," Pagano told the Indianapolis Star.

Given that statement, we can presume that the Colts quarterbacks were evidently highly "flappable" last year as Indy stumbled into position to draft Luck in the first place.

Luck's work this weekend will be last last official work with the team until June, because of NFL rules that say a player's school must have ended before he can officially take part in mini-camps. Because many Pac-12 schools are on quarters rather than semesters, those players often have to wait longer for their NFL careers to officially begin.

But Luck is taking it upon himself to organize some informal workouts with his receivers, which includes veterans Reggie Wayne and Austin Collie.
