Ndamukong Suh shows you where the beef is
In a tight economy, it can be difficult for all but the marquee players in the NFL to land endorsement dollars.
The days of making an appearance at a car dealership and getting a loaner car for the season are gone. Long gone.
Endorsement dollars for rookies, players who are not established in their new town and market are even more difficult to come by. When those deals are struck, they’re typically for face players of a franchise – the star quarterback or running back.
But Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is bucking the trend. The No. 2 pick from the draft has landed himself a perfect marketing deal. He’ll be a spokesman for Omaha Steaks. It’s a good match for a former star for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and who better than to pitch beef than a lineman?
