NFL Draft 2015: Round 3, Picks 1-16

   Pick (Rnd)

1 (3)

Indianapolis

D'Joun Smith, CB, Florida Atlantic

This quick corner is going to fill the nickel role in Indy, providing a big boost to their inadequate secondary.

2 (3)

Tennessee

Jeremiah Poutasi, T, Utah

The Titans seem to have a theme in this draft. They got their QB in the 1st, their QB's #1 target in the 2nd, and now Poutasi can probably be expected to start to protect their new asset.

3 (3)

Jacksonville

A.J. Cann, G, South Carolina

Cann offers immediate help for a Jacksonville offensive line that needs to protect their franchise QB more in 2015. Can play either guard or center, and it's likely to see him snapping to Bortles this season.

4 (3)

Oakland

Clive Walford, TE, Miami (FL)

Solid hands, but needs some work with blocking. May compete with Lee Smith for the starting role.

5 (3)

Seattle

Tyler Lockett, WR, Kansas St

He's small, but he's quick and can make a big special teams impact. Seattle gave up a lot to move up here, so they expect a playmaker.

6 (3)

Houston

Jalen Strong, WR, Arizona St

Considered by some to be a 1st rounder, Strong's fall is a little confusing. At 4.44 his speed isn't quite elite, but he's a big guy with big hands and may be a force to reckon with.

7 (3)

Chicago

Hroniss Grasu, C, Oregon

Worked on great offensive lines in Oregon, has lots of experience and a born leader.

8 (3)

St. Louis

Jamon Brown, T, Louisville

Will likely have to move inside to guard, will be an important part of rebuilding a new Rams' line.

9 (3)

Atlanta

Tevin Coleman, RB, Indiana

Very explosive back, sure to electrify the offense and offer something different in the backfield.

10 (3)

New York Giants

Owamagbe Odighizuwa, DE, UCLA

A mouthfull of a name, sure to give NFC QBs a mouths full of dirt. Stellar talent for this pick.

11 (3)

New Orleans

Garrett Grayson, QB, Colorado St

The 3rd QB selected in the draft, he has a lot of room to grow but can learn under a master in Drew Brees for a few seasons.

12 (3)

Kansas City

Chris Conley, WR, Georgia

Very athletic, smart kid who will hopefully help the Chiefs score TDs in the air this year.

13 (3)

Cleveland

Duke Johnson, RB, Miami (FL)

Johnson joins the two rookies from last year in Cleveland who can all succeed in the zone running scheme.

14 (3)

New Orleans

P.J. Williams, CB, Florida St

The corner has some character concerns, coming off of a recent DUI, but his physicality and athleticism should propel him into the NFL.

15 (3)

San Francisco

Eli Harold, LB, Virginia

Fell surprisingly far for such an athletic, physical, and ideal 3-4 LB for a depleted 49ers defense.

16 (3)

Minnesota

Alex Carter, CB, Stanford

Can play either CB or FS, has work to do but must work on his point of attack
