NFL playoff scenarios for Week 17

The NFL has released playoff scenarios for the final week of the regular season. Here's a look at the playoff picture for the Texans and the other NFL teams: Clinched: New England, the AFC East and a first-round bye Cincinnati -AFC North Denver - playoff berth Kansas City - playoff berth. New England clinches home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs with a win over Miami or a tie or, or a Denver loss or tie. Denver clinches the AFC West with a win or tie against San Diego or a Kansas City loss or tie The Broncos clinch a first-round bye with a win or a tie plus a Cincinnati loss or tie or a Kansas City loss or tie plus a Cincinnati loss. Denver clinches home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs with a win plus a New England loss Cincinnati clinches a first-round bye with a win over Baltimore plus a Denver loss or tie, or a Cincinnati win plus a Denver loss or tie, or a Cincinnati win plus a Denver loss, or a Denver loss plus a Kansas City win Kansas City clinches the AFC West with a win over Oakland plus a Denver loss. New York Jets clinch a playoff berth with a win over Buffalo or a tie, or a Pittsburgh loss or tie. Pittsburgh clinches a playoff berth with a win over the Browns plus a Jets loss. The Texans clinch the AFC South with a win or a tie against Jacksonville, or a Colts loss or tie, or clinching the strength of victory tiebreaker over Indianapolis or the strength of schedule tiebreaker over the Colts if one of the following teams wins or ties: Cincinnati, New England, New Orleans, Jets or San Diego. The Texans clinch strength of schedule tiebreaker over Indianapolis if Kansas City wins or ties and Baltimore wins or ties as long as both teams don't tie. The Colts clinch the AFC South with a win over Tennessee plus a Texans loss plus Indianapolis ties the Texans in strength of victory tiebreaker and clinches strength of schedule tiebreaker over the Texans. The Colts tie the Texans in strength of victory tiebreaker and clinches strength of schedule tiebreaker over the Texans if both of the following things happen, Atlanta, Baltimore, Buffalo, Denver and Miami winning along with an Oakland win or tie plus a Pittsburgh win or tie as long as both teams don't tie. If Houston and Indianapolis end up tied in strength of victory and tied in strength of schedule, the teams would then go to the next tiebreaker, which is best combined ranking among AFC teams in points scored and points allowed in all games. Carolina has clinched the NFC South and a first-round bye. Arizona has clinched the NFC West and a first-round bye. Washington has clinched the NFC East. Green Bay has clinched a playoff berth Minnesota has clinched a playoff berth. Seattle has clinched a playoff berth. Carolina clinches home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs with a win or a tie, or an Arizona loss or tie. Arizona clinches home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs with a win against Seattle plus a Carolina loss. Green Bay clinches the NFC North division with a win or tie against Minnesota.
