NFL punishment coming for Falcons, Browns

Cleveland Browns general manager Ray Farmer is expected to be suspended for texting coaches during games last season, according to ESPN. Farmer has admitted sending the texts and apologized for it. "Even though it's not a positive, it's not something I'm proud of, it's not a badge or something I'm wearing, but I'm definitely trying to take the positive out of it," Farmer said last week. "What did I learn? How am I better? And then how does this help me moving forward?" Meanwhile, the NFL is expected to suspend Atlanta Falcons team president Rich McKay from the competition committee and take away a draft pick from the team for piping in crowd noise into the Georgia Dome for the past two years. "I think what we've done in 2013 and 2014 was wrong," Falcons owner Arthur Blank said last month. "Anything that affects the competitive balance and fairness on the field, we're opposed to, as a league, as a club and as an owner. It's obviously embarrassing, but beyond embarrassing, it doesn't represent our culture and what we're about." Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun
