NFL upholds Dominic Raiola suspension after appeal

Detroit Lions center Dominic Raiola's one-game suspension was upheld by the NFL after he appealed his punishment.

Raiola lost his appeal after stomping on Chicago Bears defensive tackle Ego Ferguson's ankle.

The suspension was upheld by appeals officer and Hall of Fame linebacker Derrick Brooks.

Raiola will be replaced in the lineup by rookie Travis Swanson.
