NFLPA elects Eric Winston as new president

Offensive tackle Eric Winston was elected as president of the NFL Players Association today.

He replaces outgoing president Domonique Foxworth.

Winston beat out Ryan Clark and Ben Watson for the position in balloting at the NFLPA Board of Player Representatives meeting in Orlando, Fla.

Winston has started 112 consecutive games for the Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals.

Winston was elected as a player rep for the Texans in 2010.

Foxworth was named president in 2012 after four years on the executive committee.
